How the architecture has changed over the past decades? Is it always «technological» — it means «ugly»? Reflections and assumptions
Of course, the architecture of modern cities over the past decades has changed dramatically. And the point is not only in changing our ideas about the beautiful. Rather, on the contrary, the influence of new techniques and technology has led to the fact that we look completely different at the usual architectural forms. And this is also not surprising — in the distant past they built «beautifully» based on the technical capabilities of that time.
Today, architects are trying to simultaneously solve both technological and aesthetic problems. Few people today agree to live in a not very comfortable room only because in this case everything will look beautiful outside. No, we want to unite these tasks!
Take, for example, ventilated facades. A very interesting technical solution designed to fight condensate, as well as to improve the thermal insulation of the building. Does this mean that the building will look, to put it mildly, not very impressive? Not at all! External elements can be made in such a way that the external attractiveness of the building will not suffer!
