According to official figures in the capital’s passenger transport, Glosnass technologies will be fully applied only by the end of December this year. Experts say that the introduction of these technologies will optimize the network of public transport, increase the flow of cars on the road, and also increase the regularity of transport.
The introduction of Glosnass technology is engaged in the company M2M Telematics. She has already equipped more than 10 thousand units of transport with new navigation systems, and created a single automated dispatch system, which ensures the safety of urban transport.
In real time, a special Internet portal was created in each bus or tram, where stops are reported, various useful information. The project to equip public transport with navigation systems is carried out as part of the Safe Bus program. It involves the equipment of buses with video cameras, equipment for determining the location of transport, smoke sensors, anxious buttons, ligaments with dispatchers, and so on. All this will help make the city’s movement the safest, as well as improve the quality of service of local residents.
The entire automation and navigation system of public transport in Moscow will be handed over to local authorities at the end of December.
