For a long time, in our plumbing market there are mixers for hidden installation (they are also called built-in mixers in another way). However, not everyone knows about the existence of such types of mixers. But how attractive and aesthetically it looks like a bathroom and a shower corner equipped with such plumbing devices.
We will make up for knowledge gaps and see what types of built -in mixers are, how they differ and how to install them.
Let’s start in order.
Types of hidden installation mixers.
I will say right away, we will consider only the most common types of such mixers and we will not go into the curiosity.
Built -in mixers are two main types:
1. Shower mixers. These are mixers of hidden installation, which have only one water output. You can connect either a large upper (ceiling) watering can or several wall showers, or ordinary shower watering can be connected to this output. Such models of built -in mixers have been very often used very often for the device of the bidet function (as an addition to the usual toilet, if it is not possible to install a classic stationary earthenware bidet). It is done very simple. In a convenient place near the toilet, a shower mixer of hidden installation is installed in the wall, a neat exit from the water wall is made nearby, we connect a flexible shower hose with a special watering can to this exit. Somewhere nearby we install a bracket on the wall-a holder for this watering. The meaning, I think, is clear.2. Bath mixers and shower. These are built -in mixers with two water outputs. They work similarly to ordinary wall -mounted bathtub mixers, only the entire mechanism is hidden in the wall, and on the surface there is only a water adjustment handle and a switch between outputs. In this case, for example, a special excess is connected to one output to fill the bath, and either a large upper shower (or side nozzles), or an ordinary shower on a flexible hose, is connected to another output. As an option, such a built -in mixer can be used in the shower corner. We connect a stationary ceiling watering can on one exit, a hand shower on a flexible hose to the second exit. The flight of fantasy is not limited here and you can experiment as you like.
What is the difference between the mixers of hidden installation.
Significant differences, in my opinion, are only two. Built -in mixers are made either in the form of one single case (these are the so -called monoblock mixers of hidden installation), or consist of two parts: the body itself with the mixer, which is hidden in the wall; and the outer decorative lining with the adjustment handle and the switch (if this is provided).
Built-in mixers of the monoblock structure are an economy version and therefore is significantly cheaper than two-component brothers.
There are no serious differences of serious differences — both of them and others do a great job of their duties. In the photo, an mounting box with a Kludi hidden mixer.

Well, if you dig deeper, then built -in mixers consisting of two parts is a professional approach to plumbing of hidden installation. And from the point of view of the logic of installation and from the point of view of moisture capacity, noise resistance and reliability. Installation.
Installation of built -in mixers is more difficult to install ordinary wall. It is necessary to plan everything in advance: the place of installation of the mixer, the water output points for the upper stationary shower, on the lumps for the bath, on a manual shower. After all, the whole wiring is hidden in the wall and then everything will be very expensive to redo everything. Well, after appropriate marking, wiring a water pipe is made, all connections are performed and sealed, then the entire system is checked under pressure for the absence of leaks and only then facing work is carried out.
As a rule, all mixers of hidden installation are sold with clear and clear installation instructions. Nevertheless, I will not tire of repeating that specialists should do such work so that it is not painful painful due to the floating wall or flooded neighbors.
Good luck!
