Laying tiles on a wooden floor

In wooden houses, floors are usually created from wood, as a result of which laying various flooring should be performed on this material. In rooms such as a bathroom or kitchen, the most optimal flooring for the floor is the tile, which is characterized by many positive parameters. However, it is important here to know what are the features and nuances of laying this coating on a wooden floor, as well as what requirements should be taken into account in the process.

Positive parameters of tiles

The use of this floor material is considered appropriate and justified, since it has the following advantages:

the wear resistance of the tile, which provides a long service life of the created coating, which even after many years from the moment of laying remains attractive, high -quality and whole;

Stability before fire allows us to talk about the safety of the use of this material, which does not light up even from open fire;

Resistance even before the highest and most significant loads, which ensures the durability and reliability of the material, since it is difficult to damage;

The ease of cleaning the resulting coating is also considered an important factor, since it can be easily washed not only with water, but also using various chemicals for cleaning.

Tile laying technology on a wooden floor

It is well known that wood is quite specific and complex material, which cannot withstand numerous loads and effects. However, it is environmentally friendly and affordable, therefore it is often used to form various types of surface.

The main negative abilities of wood are its possible reference and decay, and it can also play under the influence of different factors. If these processes are started under a coating of tiles, then we can expect an early destruction or loss of numerous positive properties.

That is why, before the formation of a tile coating, it is important to perform many specific preparatory work, which primarily consist in the creation of a high -quality, solid and durable waterproofing layer on a wooden basis. It should not be subject to any significant negative influences, both from the floor of wood and from the upper coating of tiles.

Initially, it is necessary to carry out preparatory work, which consist in checking the wooden surface for strength and reliability. If there are no problems with the base, then you can proceed to laying chipboard slabs, and they must be laid so that the gap between them is minimal, and also preferably well accumulated. If there are any surface defects, then before the transition to the next stage it is important to take care of their operational and high-quality elimination.

No differences on the created surface from the plates are allowed, so this moment must be checked during operation using the appropriate measuring equipment. There should be a special gap between the walls and the created coating, but it is also advisable to fill it with sealant or mounting foam.

The entire resulting surface is processed with an Oliph or another suitable impregnation, and here you need to use the instruction that is attached to the purchased material. It is important to ensure that a perfectly sealed surface is formed that does not pass moisture to the wooden floor and increased humidity.

The next stage of work is that on the resulting surface is applied with an even and thick layer special latex. The painting mesh is laid out on it. As soon as Latex completely hardens, a mesh using a standard construction stapler is attached to it, and self -tapping screws can be used for these purposes, which are designed to work with wood.

Next, you need to apply liquid glass on the resulting coating. Only after solidifying this solution can you start laying the tile coating. The resulting basis will be distinguished by high waterproofing properties, strength and stability to other negative factors. It will protect both wood from the destructive effects of moisture or other elements, as well as coating from tiles.

The laying of the tiles should be carried out at the following stages:

marking;

laying the tiles in accordance with the selected method, as well as with the use of high -quality glue, which should be specially intended for these works, and it is additionally important to use crosses that allow you to get perfectly smooth and the same seams on all coatings;

grinding seams with a suitable tool that ensures their tightness and attractive appearance;

elimination from the resulting tile coating of the remains of various mixtures and solutions.

Thus, laying tiles to the surface of wood is a real and not too complicated procedure, however, in any case, it will be necessary to spend quite a lot of effort and time on the formation of a complex, high -quality and solid layer with excellent waterproofing parameters.
