I already wrote that a new car from China named Geely Emgrand EC-7 is coming to Ukraine. This is not the weakest car-this is a fundamentally new generation of Chinese cars, which are already fine with safety-the EC-7 has passed the full N-CAP test and received the full approval of the International Organization for the Definition of Car Sales.
The technical equipment of the indicated car is also quite at the level for its price segment. And as you can see from the photo, with the exterior of this machine, everything is buzzing — modern lines and normal, I would even say, a cool appearance. And on August 22, the car starts in the Ukrainian market. Regarding the preliminary release, some innovations appeared.
If early it was said about one configuration of Geely Emgrand EC-7, then now we are talking about two. And as for me, even this is not enough. Although, in principle, all cars of the budget segment go in two or three trim levels. Although the buyer can order trifles of the finish for more powerful firms himself. This car will have two configurations with a difference of one and a half thousand US dollars.
What surprised me was the presence of a huge number of parts of this car that are made not by Chinese firms. T. e. The factories themselves can be located in the Middle Kingdom, but they do not belong to the natives of the PRC. For example, Bosch brakes, engine controller — Delphi, Lighting — Valeo, etc. D. As you can see, in order to enter the European market confidently and with success, the Chinese had to deviate a little from their rules to use domestic spare parts and equip Geely Emgrand EC-7 equipment of third-party companies. Although I am almost sure that they were made by Chinese workers and therefore jobs, taxes, knowledge remained in China.
Of course, dealers try in full: advertising, explanations, pictures, test drives and much more. Just to dial customers for the first parties. I understand them and I hope that the Emgrand EC-7 will correspond to the level to which the advertisers raised it.
